One of the best museums I have ever been to!
The comprehensive history that this museum provides to visitors on the story of Black and African Americans is truly phenomenal. I enjoyed seeing it all tied together regarding modern day Black history in modern day Detroit. I want to come back to experience even more of what this museum has to offer!

Recreational
This museum is a must see! I would recommend at least 2 hours. I enjoyed the special exhibit of the Tuskegee airman. But I really enjoyed learning more facts that I didn’t learn in my education about the entire experience of a slave. The horrible experiences they had coming over on the ship and once they got to the US. If you have experienced a Holocaust museum... you will feel the sadness and how this could happen? Glad I was able to learn more.. but sad it took me to be 65 to do it.
