A Beautiful Walk near the Altstadt
If you are traveling from the Hauptbahnhof to the Altstadt or the castle (Schloß), this beautiful man-made lake is on your way. You can enjoy a partial walk around the lake and take in the view of some of the gorgeous buildings along the way. There was a man feeding the birds while I was there and he made a friend of a very persistent goose!

A lovely lake walk just beside the city Centre
This man-made lake was once part of a power plant. It is surrounded by a well-kept walkway. On the lake you can see ducks and swans. It’s probably an hours walk all the way around. There is a ferry boat which will take you from one side of it to the other for three Euros, one way.

Take a walk around the lake and relax and enjoy
We had a beautiful September day and we loved our walk around the lake. Leaves were turning and the locals were out taking a leisure walk. I highly suggest you take a moment to do the same.
