Lone Star Wine Cellars, Texas, United States

4.5 (44 reviews) Monday: Spent Ranking #10 in McKinney Wineries & Vineyards

Comfortable and friendly

Well kept tasting room. Small and intimate bar. High tops strategically placed, private room for large parties and small outdoor patio with misters and speakers. Super friendly staff dedicated to making their customers feel at home. Good conversation and knowledgeable about the wine they serve. We felt like we were sitting around chatting with friends. Live local music on a regular basis adds a bit of character to the experience. The only downside for us is that they don’t grow they own grapes so their wines are really from other vineyards. As a personal touch, their wines are named after their ranch animals, with a story and photo for each animal. They are pretty proud of their wine creations and it shows in their pricing. Wines are good but have had just as good for more reasonable pricing at other local vineyards where they harvest and use their own grapes. We didn’t have any food but what was served to others looked appetizing. We enjoyed our time there for a glass of wine.
