The river and the waterfall

Hey, go down to the river, and up to the falls, then get back in the car and go to the Zambezi Gorge Swing and zip line. Crazy scary but fun.

Royalty Linkerz, Dingani, Wanuka Queens sunset river cruise
I traveled to Victoria Falls with my 3 adult children and husband. We did not use a tour company to book our trip. This was our first trip to Africa. We were a little overwhelmed at first by people coming at us from all directions wanting us to either buy something or book a tour on our walk from our hotel to the entrance of Vic Falls. We decided to wait until the next day to visit the falls as it was 2 hours from closing. As we were walking away, we met a gentleman with a uniform on and a vest that said tourism police. We chatted with him a little while and we saw a sign for a restaurant overlook but it was down a dirt trail with just brush around it. we were a little uncertain and he walked with us. (sorry I can't remember the name of it) It was very nice and and had a nice view of river and zip line across. We had a drink and walked back with him. He mentioned that if we wanted to do a tour he could advise us of a good/reliable company to use. We walked to the place he recommended and there we met either the manager/owner. He gave us prices for a sunset river cruise on the Wanuka Queens boat by Dingani tours. They picked us up at our hotel promptly and we were greeted by a happy talkative courteous driver named Johanns. After a 15 min drive we arrived and were met by 4 dancers/singer/drummer welcoming us. We found out we were going to be the only 5 passengers on the boat that evening.(I think partly bc of the time of year) It holds about 50 people. The captain and server were very gracious. One of the dancers dressed in costume was to be our animal spotter. We were treated to wonderful appetizers and drinks. We also spotted many animals such as crocodile, hippos, giraffes, and a family of elephants drinking at the river. The captain and the guide were very knowledgable. The tables and chairs were very solid and comfortable. They looked like they had been hand made and were very nice. As we turned to head back the sun was setting. It was beautiful with reds and oranges. In the distance with the light getting dimmer(not sure how he saw it) our guide saw a lone male elephant entering the water. Our captain was quick to get there and turn so the elephant went in front of us as the sun was setting behind the elephant. It is a memory we will never forget. The price was very reasonable and the service/food was excellent!
