Top notch local store
My impressions are slightly different. Having done a considerable amount of comparison shopping over the years, I can attest to the fact that the prices at Maynard Outdoor Store for most items are more than competitive. This includes shoes, jeans, winter clothes, camping gear, and brand names like North Face. Several times we've seen something at the store, checked on line, and then returned to the store to purchase from them. I've always liked the staff, and they're a lot more knowledgeable than most. Return policies are generous -- 2 weeks, but they're usually not too strict. I'm glad there's an independent store like this that continues to prosper in this area amidst the likes of impersonal department stores like Target and Wal-Mart.

Walking back in time
This is as near as you get to the way things were way back when; personalized attention, isles stuffed with clothing, shoes, sneakers, sports equipment and camping gear. Plus it carries modern clothing as well. If they don't have it, you don't really need it.

Great clothing store for all ages
I get almost all of my clothes here - they have a great selection for work and play. The shoe department is very helpful and carries a lot of selection. Good for women, men, and children. Watch for the seasonal sales which are great values
