Great view of Boston

Grew up in Brookline 5 minutes form the summit. Had to show it to my grandson. Gives an outstanding view of the city.

    SMALL, CLEAN MULTI-USE URBAN PARK
Coming up from Beacon Street, the park is up at the crest of the hill from Summit Avenue cross streets Jordan Road and York Terrace in a residential neighborhood. There is free on-street parking. Admission is free. The 4+ acre park is divided into two sections. The southern part is the Corey Hill Playground. The northern part is the park. The park features three picnic tables, two hammocks, several Adirondack chairs, and benches. There is also a sundial, plus walking paths/trails. There is a large info board at the eastern end of the park. The park has a downward-sloping lawn which makes an area for sledding in winter. In the other three seasons, it is a dog park. From the section of the park in front of the Adirondack chairs, there is a good view of parts of Cambridge and Boston. We visited this park after touring the Arnold Arboretum. We brought a picnic lunch. We found the stationary picnic tables and benches comfortable. After eating, we walked around. The Adirondack chairs and benches were also comfortable. We didn’t get to try the hammocks as they were occupied for the duration of out two-hour visit. Then, we visited Corey Hill Playground in the southern part on the other side of Summit Ave. It is equipped with swings, a playhouse, molded polymer rocks, and a splash pad with a jet d’eau with a faucet placed high enough so only an adult can control it. We watched a youngster and her mother at the splash pad. That set-up worked well. There is also stationary exercise equipment for push-ups and chin-ups for older children and adults. Both sections of the park are handicapped-accessible. We rate Corey Hill Outlook Park at 4.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

Quiet & Peaceful Area with Great Views!
A very relaxing park area with hammocks at the top of a hill (Summit Ave. --- get it?) with a view of the Boston skyline.
