    I like hiking here
Broad Meadow Brook is a wildlife sanctuary run by Mass Audubon. It is a place I visit a few times a year. There is a visitor's center with a few displays, and where numerous programs are held, and a gift shop as well. Also, there is a wildflower garden a small artificial pond and numerous trails that go through woods, wetlands and a strip of meadow where powerlines run through. The trails are well kept. Maps are available either in the visitor's center or in kiosks outside. I have found that the best places to see wildlife are usually along the Troiano and Powerline trails. There are also play areas for young children as well. There is a small fee, but members can hike for free.

    what a nice surprise
went here today with a few friends and our children. Facilities indoors are very nice. person working the visitor center was also very friendly. Walked on the main trail, although we had to turn around due to the terrain was not stroller friendly after about half a mile. We were informed of this at the start but chose to do part way anyways. Next time we will not have the strollers in tow and be able to walk further. Kids played in the grass outside the visitor center next to the pavilion and had a great time. Bring sturdy shoes and bug spray- mosquitos were biting but we were prepared. the grounds are very well maintained, cant wait to go back in the fall when the leaves are changing. FYI it is $4/adult to use the trails.
