Beautiful place to rest from a drive
Ashfield Lake has clear, clean water and trees along its bank. It has benches and a trail with wildflowers on both sides. The trail narrows at the sort of entrance into its wooded part. Its bank across has a playground and a beach as well as backyards of residential houses. It’s a beautiful place to take a break from a drive.

Not a large lake, but clean with small dock for boats and jumping in.
This lake is not large, but just right for swimming, and boating. Has a small dock for both. The Ashfield Lake house is just a short walk away. Food is very good, with service, and moderate prices. Will return often.

Scenic area in a very nice village.
The Ashfield Lake and the iconic lake house are a nice, peaceful destination in the hills. The village is quiet and picturesque. I enjoyed our photocruise through this small New England town.
