It is not in the citadelle anymore - moved to a modern building and is an amazing museum
The new location of this modern museum is in a modern yet traditional complex of buildings. The museum itself is expertly planned and will give you a 360 degree understanding of Moroccan pottery both in terms of history, various types of pottery according to regions and wide range of samples. Special emphasis is of course given to Safi pottery and the main characters that advanced it. It is very well laid out and explained, but only in French and Arabic. Do go there if you are interested in pottery - it is really a top class museum by any standard.

    CLOSED FOR INVISIBLE REFURBISHMENT
The locals all complained that this attraction was closed so long, ostensibly for refurbishment but there was no sign at all of work being done. It was a pity because the location is alluring as are the grounds but it seemed neglected, attended by a pair of bored guards
