Free, enjoyable and well worth 30-45 minutes of your time in Macau
This past weekend, we visited the Grand Prix Museum along with the Wine Museum, both being housed in the tourism activities centre just off Lotus Square, not far from the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal. It seems entrance to this museum is now free. Overall, we really enjoyed this museum, finding it the best that we visited during this trip to Macau. What we liked about the Grand Prix Museum was the large collection automobiles that had formerly participated in Macau Grand Prix races that were on display. Even those of us who don’t really keep up with this sport could appreciate the various race cars on display. We enjoyed reading about the evolution of engine and car design over the years from the easy to read and clearly marked information displays made available throughout the Museum. We also enjoyed the Grand Prix route exhibits showing how the race snaked through the winding streets of Macau. Seriously made us look forward to the next running in November. Overall, this was a very enjoyable museum to visit, well worth 30-45 minutes of your time and was a particularly child-friendly place to spend time. Entrance is now free for this museum so there is little reason to not visit.

such a beautiful place-a pleaaasant surprise
We had seen the museum on one of the tourism websites, but couldn't find a lot on it. My husband is a car racing buff. We decided to have a look and it is amazing! The most beautiful race cars (and bikes) from the very early to the very latest, dozens of them. As well as memorabilia. My husband and daughter both had a go on the simulators, driving the course. The surroundings are so modern and beautiful. And only 10 pacs to get in. If you are interested in car racing or cars in general, don't miss having a look at this site. We went the long way round to find it. But it is just across from Lotus Square, near the Sands casino. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.
