Best place to chillax..
We came here with the intention of chillaxing after a day’s worth of touring around. I have to say we made the smart decision. There’s not much to explore as it’s still work in progress but there were some stalls for refreshments, etc, if needed, souvenir shops, some non-motorized boat rides …but the bamboo raft?? must be rotten/condemned post pandemic and definitely a function hall (used as wedding reception at that time we were there). I like the fact that decent bathrooms with multiple stalls plus wash vanities and ‘functional’ hand dryer were available (worth the P100 entrance fee then). What I didn’t understand was why there was no thru access for pedal boat riders to the other half of the lake to spread out and explore? As for us, we had a good vantage point for the ever changing (clouds or no clouds) majestic Mount Mayon between 4pm to 6pm before we proceeded to the city for early dinner.

Overrated and Boring
Have been here twice already. Aside from seeing the unspoiled view of Mayon Volcano there ain't much to do here. They are still developing the area and the last time we went there on January 2022 they added some interesting features like native huts, a function hall and a café. The merchandise(local products) they're selling are overpriced. Until I see and experience "more" from this place I am calling it overrated. One can get bored easily after they have taken some pictures with the volcano.

Lunch on the lake
Visited Sumlang Lake as part of a business tour package. We were served lunch on a raft in the middle of the lake. The food served was delicious. There was a cooling breeze that made the whole dining experience very relaxing. I will have to bring my family back here.
