    Positive vibes
I loved this 16th Century cathedral which is an architectural marvel (reconstructed many times later due to natural disasters). The location is prominent and is in the Intramuras area close to Fort Santiago. The Intramuras battery operated vehicle is the best transportation. The entrance is free. I spent some time inside the Church and the vibes were positive. Recommended as it is a must-visit if you are in Manila.

Seat of the archdiocese of Manila
This church, officially named the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and whose history dates back to the 16th century, concomitant with the establishment of the diocese of Manila in 1572, has gone through a series of tremendous events including wars and earthquakes. The actual structure is the seventh reconstruction, built in 1954-1958 after the bombing of the city during the Second World War in 1945. It has a typical Latin cross floor plan. Its interior is quite simple, with three naves and some side chapels. The stained glass windows are amazing, while the façade is very impressive. In the basement, there's a crypt with the tombs of the former archbishops of the diocese of Manila. In front of the church is Plaza Roma and not too far from it are Fort Santiago and the famous San Agustin Church and Museum.
