Great free Museum with planetarium
Really enjoyed the visit, it’s like a little Museum of natural history in NY, small but many exhibits. Art, archeology, history, specialty rooms, 2 floors plus a planetarium. A good bit of dinosaurs and local animal displays. Definitely worth a stop. Teens, small children will both enjoy as adults do. Nice layout

Nice museum. Free!
We were looking for something to do in Lubbock. Found this nice, enjoyable museum on the university campus. There are many exhibits on science, history, and art. Admission is free! Some construction was going on while we were there, so we probably didn’t get to see everything.

Small but interesting
Small but interesting. They have several full size dinosaurs which a great. Smaller permanent exhibits of local history, Native American art and South American artifacts. The upstairs was closed. Moody Planetarium wasn’t open in the morning on weekdays when we were there. Nice gift shop. And it was free admission.
