This is the place to see human history come alive. It is a still actively worked archeological site with a a good museum showing the finds from the dig. They also have lots of weekend, Spring Break and Summer activities and camps for children.

When they have an event for the public, it's good
They mostly do school groups for their events. But if you watch the local newspaper, you can catch them doing events for things like National Trails Days. We went to one of their dusk tours, and saw native plants and heard about the digs, and got some astronomy info, too. It's a nice nature facility in Lubbock.
