Did the 2.3 mile trail around the lake

Nice walk around the lake ; got to see hundreds of prairie dogs ; so cute (though we wouldn't want them in our yard) .

Hidden Recreational Lake in West Texas
Unless someone tells you about Dunbar Historical Lake in Lubbock Texas it is unlikely you would find many mentions online of this place. It is a welcome respite of water in dry West Texas. During the spring and summer kayak and stand up paddle board rentals are available. There is a 2 mile drive/walking lane around the park, which also includes a small waterfall. Locals bring chairs and fishing poles (catch and release, the water isn't that great) and there are benches and picnic tables scattered throughout. I took a friend visiting from out of town there recently and it was just lovely to sit by the water to visit and watch families enjoying this great outdoors green space.
