    National peoples museum
Well worth a visit. Make sure you are dressed modestly . If you take a rucksack , you will need to put it in the lockers and no photography in the museum. No info books to buy so read up about it before you go. Check the opening times.

    Interesting museum in spacious grounds
Located right in the centre of town, the museum is in spacious and pleasant grounds that also include a number of other buildings (including a lovely temple) and a garage housing the royal automobiles. Entry to the grounds is free but tickets must be purchased to visit the museum. The ticket office is in a building to the left of the entrance from the Main Street where bags must also be left in a staffed locker room. Tickets at the time we visited were kip 30,000 per person. At the palace museum itself, you must leave your shoes at a dedicated spot outside and then follow a defined circuit around the rooms and displays that are present. There is quite a lot to see with reasonably good English signage to let you know what you are looking at. Worth a visit - can be crowded at times.
