Hidden gem
We took an afternoon to drive outside Vienna and decided to visit Lilienfeld. This Abbey is amazing. It costs 6€ to get an audioguide to the site. For once? the English version was robust, explicit, and complete. You get to visit the cloister, a chapel, a fountain, and the interior garden as well as the cathedral and several exterior sites. The stained glass is worth the visit even though there are many other wonderful parts (black marble in the cathedral). Take the drive!

Don't do it in Winter!
The guide was nice enough and knowledgeable (btw. the tour was in German). Yet I missed some of the passion. More Importantly though: it was bl... cold, as most of the monastery is not heated. The church was at 3 degress (centigrade) - though donn your warm clothes.
