Worth the visit

Pretty cool tour. Have done a couple other submarines, but not very common. Guide only spoke (fast) Spanish, so I missed 25%, but still good, the style was clipped susinct as a couple other reviewers have noted. NOTE- that sell tickets entering 1x each hour, so suggest you book/buy tickets first, then visit the river market right beside while you wait for your booking time. Also, price was very reasonable at about $3.50 US each. LOL, I thought the hard hats were overkill, but I must have bumped my head 8 times when I was inside the cramped space. Not a good tour for anyone with mobility issues, the ladders and bulkheads are pretty cramped. Kids I saw there loved it.

    Cheap and great information
For only 2,000, we got a tour of an old submarine, now just a museum, and we stayed down there for a good half hour learning about torpedos, escape plans, radar, and how 70 men slept and ate down there. It was so cool to see all the small spaces and bunk beds, and there are even signs that still say "quiet-they are listening to us" in reference to the part of the crew responsible for the radar. We wore helmets because of the low-hanging apparatus and the portholes we had to crawl through which was helpful. Great little tour! The have tours every hour or so, and it's located at the end of the pier, with the ticket stand being a tiny little booth that you would miss. Look carefully!

    Nice for children
Nice place to go with children, especially boys. Small museum and you need to take the tickets in advance during summer.
