extremely beautiful lake
After a long trek from Aligudarz (nearly 6 hours for us), we reached the lake through rocky hills and mountains. Gahar was hidden away in a valley, so serene and beautiful. We camped there for two nights and three days and it was one of the best experiences we had in Iran...such beautiful scenery...don't hesitate to travel to Lorestan if you're up for a moderately difficult trek :)

Last month of spring, the best time
You can hike, bike or ride a horse there, there are also horses for rent for riding or for carrying your backpack. Forget about swimming because of the freeeeeezing water and if you have air pump boats, take it.

Diamond of Zagross
Gahar lake is beautiful natural mountain lake that is around of Doroud city in khorram abad of Iran. Access to this lake need 4 hours trekking between zagross natural park . You can enjoy fresh water of this lake and many beautiful water fall and boating there
