Southwest Museum of Clocks and Watches, Texas, United States
5.0 (4 reviews) Tuesday: Spent Ranking #7 in Lockhart History Museums
Very Interesting!
Open hours are Fridays 10:30am - 4:30pm; Saturdays 10:00am - 4:00pm; and Sundays 1:00pm - 5:00pm Excellent museum! Clocks and watches from many countries and time periods, with explanatory placards next to many of them. Most are decorative, not just functional. Fascinating from both a cultural and mechanical perspective.

Interesting
We had a very extensive guided tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. The museum is a gem. The history of timepieces was covered and the museum is laid out by geographic regions and the docent let us interact with a few clocks. We highly recommend visiting.

Really interesting clocks!
We like clocks and thought that this place was really interesting (and free!). They have lots of different clocks, some like we've never seen before. Most are really old, many still work. There was someone on hand to answer questions. I'd recommend stopping here for sure.
