Clean park, nice golf course
We visited the Lockhart State park and enjoyed a nice weekend. The park has tent camping and RV sites. We brought our RV and had a great time. They have a nine hole golf course that was very fun and extremely inexpensive. We also enjoyed the nature trails and wooded areas. It is close to the town of Lockhart which is a nice place to visit as well.

Got out of the house during Covid-19
It is a really nice park, very clean lots of trees and a small golf course. We stayed for 4 days, the staff is friendly and attentive, it was quite hot and we did have a few issues with the 50 AMP plug, but they sent an electrician over to fix it. The last night we did have to switch to 30 AMP and only run one AC unit as the 50 AMP kept going out. You have to remember that when these parks were built there were no huge RV's with 50 AMP systems, two AC's and all the other electronics. Just be prepared to change out to 30 AMP if necessary. They are doing all that they can to fix the system. But with limited funding for the Texas State Parks it is slow going. Even with the issues with the electric the staff was nice and attentive and did all they could for us. We will go back again.
