Awesome Monument to The National Flag

Back in February of 1872 the national flag of Argentina, designed by Belgrano was raised here. Today this massively monument, which by the way you can see on the 10 Peso note, stands as a significant symbol for the Argentinian people. It is one massive tower, which can be entered and an elevator takes one to the top. Off to the west side the monument continues where you will find the Eternal Flame. Located on the banks of this massive river where large sea-going bulk carriers ply, you will see the monument, and the very Tall Flag Pole... minus its Flag the days we visited.
