Gorgeous and beautiful Iguazu Falls

I was on Victoria falls. They are the highest. The only thing is that because of the splash cloud you can’t really see how water bumps the ground. I was on Niagara falls They don’t impress me at all. Because of the skyscrapers around them, they look like a broken pipe. For Iguazu falls I can find only one word- they are beautiful, gorgeous and beautiful. It’s not only the most beautiful fall I have ever seen it’s just one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I would recommend to see them from both sides, Argentine and Brasilia. From Brasilia side they are more representative and there are astonishing panoramic views. On the Brasilia side you are taken to the falls by bus from the entrance for about 20 min. Bus goes every 15-20 min. You must get out of the bus at the stop before the last one and make a walk down the hill for about 1.5km Then you can take a lift and find yourself at the last stop of the bus. There you can take it to the entrance or if you are in love with falls and have time you can get out next stop and repeat the trip (again down the hill). If you are the first one in the morning you can let all the crowd go ahead of you and make this trip alone, only you and falls. Practically same procedure on the Argentine side, instead of the bus there is a train. IF you are short of time take only Low path. It’s possible to see the best of the falls from both sides in one day. If you don’t have enough time I would recommend the Brasilia side. There is a boat trip on both sides. Same trip. It’s better to take it from Brasilia side because there are lifts, in Argentine you have to climb yourself . It’s not a sightseeing tour. IT’s about getting under the falls, being hit by it (rather hard and I found it not scary but unpleasant, I am a woman of 64) and got completely wet, absolutely.

    Majestic waterfalls from Argentine side
Early wake up call so that we can catch the first rail car in the park that will take us to the end, top of the Falls to see famous Devil’s throat of the Argentinean side of the Falls. Continue along the catwalks to Devil’s Gorge — stand in amazement as you gaze at spectacular “Devil’s Throat” the most magnificent of all of the cataracts. View, photograph and feel the spray of the thundering waters, one of nature’s most impressive achievements and a unique experience for your senses. Then go back one stop back with rail again to complete the Upper Circuit walk to see the top of waterfalls close up. Also noted in Argentine park is English description everywhere whereas on Brazilian side, Portuguese only. Seeing Argentine side of the falls is a "Full day" activity. More waterfalls will be seen during wet season like this but they claimed anytime of the year there are at least 275 separate waterfalls (both big and small) across a span of two and one-half miles. It is wider than Victoria Falls and higher than Niagara Falls and more dramatic than both. It is definitely the highlight of the whole tour as mentioned by our guide. Make sure to buy poncho before starting the trip. Walkway ends at “Devil’s Throat and that section is very wet from 900,000 gallons per sec of water flowing across all falls. It has been raining and thus more water flow from its minimum of 500,000 gps. →Brazil site is known for unforgettable panoramic views where as close up views can be seen from Argentine site and thus should visit both. →Noted that helicopter tour over the falls is available only on Brazilian side, since I am with a guided tour, no time to do. →Also noted that both sides of national parks offer tasty and safe food at cafeteria. For lunch at cafeteria in the park, we had excellent Argentine grill, called Parrilla at Fortin cataratas. It only costs $16 for all good grilled meat and many cooked dishes buffet style. Included dessert is really good and this is the first introduction to high standard of Argentine desert and ice cream. This put US bbq joints to shame. It was all good but now price is outrageous and cult like followers paid $30 for a pound of meat.
