Go on the Gran Aventura Boat Tour!!!

This wonder of nature permits the observation of one of the most unique landscapes in the World; constituted by the upper Iguazu River and the Subtropical Forest, which frame the incredible Devil's Throat balcony. Three ring-shaped balconies permit a special view of the colossal “throat”, the culmination of the journey: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters / 492 feet long, and 80 meters / 262 feet high. Here the water falls with such potency that it creates dense clouds of vapor as it pours into the river below. From here you can experience such wonderful sensations, offering you amazing and unforgettable moments:- Just listening to the roar of the waterfalls - Feeling the vapor of waterfalls- Appreciating the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun - Admiring the contrasts of colors between the green forest and the blue sky, or the white color of the water foam and the red soil. - A separate spectacle is offered by the “vencejos” - birds unique to the Iguazu Falls that swoop down along the falls, as if they wanted to be confused with the curtains of water. This fabulous place is located 2080 m / 1 mile from the Devil's Station. You arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km / 3miles from the Central Station. The Iguazu National Park Waterfalls Area has assorted activities. Along the upper and lower walkways you will be able to admire between 160 and 275 falls, the Devil's Throat being the most impressive one.

    Up close with massive waterfall!
Although we were on our own for the day (Argentine side), our guide from the day before (Brazilian side) who has been to the Park over a thousand times suggested arriving to the Park at opening (8am) and catch the first train to the Devil's Throat and then proceed directly to the end of the walkway to take our photos. This worked out well - we were among the first few people so our photos don't have other people in them, and it left us with the rest of the morning to walk the trails without the afternoon heat. We even beat the professional photographer that is allowed to rope off a section of the platform to take photos. So we even took photos from the exact area normally reserved for him. We noticed the rest of the day when viewing from afar that the end platform was constantly crowded. We're glad we took our experienced guides advice. As to the experience, it allows people to get up close with this huge waterfall and feel/hear/sense the shear power of it as well as get wet - was definitely a fun experience! Note: the metal walkway is slippery when wet (it rained the night before) so wear good gripping footwear so you don't slip!

    Outstanding!
We went yesterday when it was partly cloudy and the only way of being wet was approaching this magnificent natural wonder. We took the free train to its end within the first hour of opening and although there were plenty of people already we had no trouble snagging dynamite photo positions. I've seen some mighty waterfalls but this was spectacular. Hard to stop grinning. The train stopped at station one on return as the crowds had set in. It would have been 30 minute wait for the return train so we walked the 600 meters back to the gate.
