"Pure Nature"

During our stay at the Fundudzi Camp we booked through African Ivory Roads we visited Lake Fundudzi accompanied by our exellent guide Tshifhiwa. She explained to us the history of the lake, the royal families and so much more. It is a pitty that in time this beautiful place of nature will disappear due erosion. Due forest cutting the sand is slowly moving to the river and upon time the lake wil be cut from its well. To drive to the lake, more specific the last part of the track a 4x4 is recommended, if you don't mind to walk the last km a high clearance vehicle is ok The views on the way tho the lake and the lake it self make it worth the effort. We left with the certain feeling we had to little time planned in our round trip so we have to go back once upon a time.

    Not for small cars
We were in Limpopo and decided to go to the lake, the road is not friendly and it is tricky as the forest has many trails. We got lost and it took us more than 2hours to find our way back as our phone battery died and we couldn’t use the GPS. The Lake is dry. Using a Tour Guide is the best option.
