Wijngaard Apostelhoeve, Limburg Province, The Netherlands

4.5 (45 reviews) Spent Ranking #26 in Maastricht Wineries & Vineyards

Heaven for wine lovers

Apostelhoeve was one of the first to revive Dutch wine growing. They are good at it and they use top technology to produce a range of white wines from different grape races. The bottles are more expensive than their French, German and Austrian and Italian counterparts, but they are well worth the price difference. It doesn't end there. The view from the farm is wonderful. Announce your visit and you can opt for a wine tasting party that will put a very big grin on your face. The owners and staff are very pleasant indeed, always ready to explain or exchange opinions. Bring lots of enthusiasm for wine and someone sober to drive you back.

    Beautiful vineyard, worth a visit
We enjoyed a wine excursion at this vineyard which is located on the outskirts of Maastricht close to Kanne and neighbouring Belgium. The vineyard is located on a slope with beautiful views over Maastricht. We learnt about the area, the vineyard, how to make wine and enjoyed a few glasses of white wine at the end of the tour. I can recommend this tour but you can also pay a visit to farm and buy some wine here, there are open for business most days of the week.

Who would have thought - quality wine in the Netherlands!
This tour to Apostelhoeve was well organised and entertaining. Wonderful situation just in the outskirts of Maastricht looking out over the vineyards to the border with Belgium The owners and staff are very welcoming and engaging. It was just a little chilly for us to sit outside and sip our white wine selection during our visit but I could see myself returning and doing just that on a warm summer's day.
