Magnificent views in awe of such a historical location
October is a fine time to visit Rome. The weather is still very pleasant (25C) but not overly oppressive that you will wilt in the heat. A level of reasonable fitness needed to get around a lot of walking and steps. Beautiful views the place is steeped in history. Tickets purchased via tiquets.com - advise to buy a month in advance, the ticket admission includes the Collisuem as well as the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

    It’s next to the colosseum.
When you think of Rome the colosseum is probably one of the first things to come to mind but rarely do you hear about Palatine Hill. It’s located just to the left/right of the famous colosseum depending on the direction you’re facing. You will need an entry ticket to walk the grounds but if you book through a tour guide you’ll be able to visit both Palatine Hill and the colosseum simultaneously. It’s very cool and impressive how these structures have stood the test of time and are still standing despite nature and man playing a part in it being in the shape it is today. Bring good walking shoes of course and be ready to explore such a large area of history.
