Beautifully Clean and Refreshing
I came here today and visited Anguillara Sabazia And went to Scorpion Beach for the day. We rented out the Sun Loungers and Umbrella. The guy was really nice and friendly, it cost 18 Euros. Great little beach that has a place to buy drinks and snacks. The water is so clean and refreshing, an amazing place to swim. I just loved it and Swam for a couple of hours on and off. The water is not to cold and just so refreshing. This is a must for all. The shoreline has beautiful green surroundings, with towns dotted around the coast. I read this is a lake of Volcanic Origin and has cool black Sand. There are some stones, so best to take some water shoes. The shoreline goes around for 32 kilometres. You also have the pleasure of swimming with Swans and Ducks

Great day trip- one hour from Rome on train
Took my kids here for an impromptu day trip as they were growing weary of the city. The walk down to the lake is scenic if you take the road. If you take the path it’s pretty steep and wooded area. There are restaurants on the beach that are all good choices. Worth the trip. Nice walk- great views. Black beach sand. Cute town with lots of choices to eat and shop.

Water World is our favorite Spot
We enjoy taking weekend trips to the lake and spend the day near water world where my son can enjoy an hour of playtime on their inflatables. They used to allow full-day play but due to COVID they need to break it up into hour increments to respect social distancing and disinfect the inflatables. The lake itself is fun and refreshing even with the new restrictions. There are many areas where you can rent umbrellas and chairs or if you arrive early enough you can claim your own spot in the limited free areas. Parking is a challenge due to the popularity of the lake and the nearby RV camping lot and water sport schools. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from and the town is beautiful to visit.
