I've fished the Little Vermillion river or what we call the creek for 40 years and over a 15 mile stretch. It's faboulous for Smallmouth bass and I've caught 4 pounders from here. The creek also contains bluegill, catfish, pickerel, bullhead, carp, sheephead, suckers, creek chub, and shad. You'll also find a variety of turtles and snakes, along with frogs and crayfish which you can use for bait. Beware of poison ivy. The creek is dependant on rain to maintain depth and good fishing.See more..
