Majestic

Being in Oroklini we thought we’d check out the Lake to see those Majestic Flamingos which are normally on site this time of the year. Plenty of them to see as well as Ducks and a few other feathered friends. Lovely to sit to stand and watch these Beauties whilst they are here.

    Great spot to see the flamingos
    I would recommend going to Oroklini lake in the winter to see the flamingos. Not as many go here as to the Laranca Salt Lake but the lake is smaller so you get nice views of the birds. There is also an observation deck you can climb to get a better view.

    Small lake with a lot of waterfowl.
    We've been twice. There is a viewing blind with bird identification information posted. Flamingos were there but too far across to get a good look at them. The lake attracts a lot of migratory waterfowl including Ducks, Brants, Coots, etc. we've spotted some Raptors there as well, Lots of songbirds, too. A great little get away for some nature time, plus a good spot to watch the sunset.
