A most friendly, welcoming and informative place to visit.
The entire visit to this museum was well worth it. The owner's daughter greeted us, we paid €3 per person and off we went. The Bee making process was explained to us clearly and with lots of things to see to support the information that was being imparted. It was extremely interesting and highly informative. We were lucky enough to be able to try the honey straight from the honeycomb, somewhat different to the honey in a jar. Delicious. We were then left to look around and move on to the embroidery part of the museum. Again enough to see to be able to get a feel for the locally well known embroidery Lefkara Lace. Although the the museum is relatively small there is quite a bit to see. We then took the path through the museum garden, to exit the museum. There were some beautiful flora to be seen. For more on Lefkara Lace you need to visit the village of Lefkara to meet the locals.

Personal touch
Theodora opened especially for us and gave us a personal tour of her bee museum as she is shut on Mondays, which was very much appreciated. It was very interesting (I like bees!) and was good to see some historic Cypriot life. It’s a very small museum though, won’t take you long to get round, and it isn’t all about bees! But worth a visit if you’re in the area and you can buy the local products

Worth a visit
Well worth a visit if you are in the area. We stayed in Garden Karama House next to the museum and enjoyed Eli showing us around and all the tales of the family and other villagers. The village is really nice and the bee museum is in some old buildings which have their own heritage.
