Beautiful waterfalls only one kilometer from a parking place
Tsahkal Falls (also known as Tsahkalputous and Cahkaljohka) is a series of small waterfalls which are 0.5-3 meters high. So they are small but very beautiful. Tsahkal Falls are situated near the bridge on the hiking route between Saana Fell and Luontotalo (Kilpisjarvi Visitor Centre). However, it is easiest to get there from the village shop of Kilpisjärvi (K-Market Kilpishalli) and restaurant Ravintola Kilpis. You can leave your car at the parking place of the village shop (address Käsivarrentie 14219). A path of Kalottireitti Trail to Halti begins next to the parking place (between the parking place and Urpiaisentie Street). Follow this path 1 kilometer and you will find Tsahkal Falls. I and my teenage son loved Tsahkal Falls very much. They are easy to visit and very beautiful.

No falls here!
This had nothing to do with what I expect when I hear ‘falls’. It was a good easy walk overall, more than accessible, and I did enjoy the view of Kilpisjarvi lake, but still not a trail that I would do again.

Nice small hike
These waterfalls were about a kilometer away from Kilpisjärvi center. The path was in good condition and you could actually start from naturecenter and come around to behind of the shops. Would recommend this destination if you wish to take an easy and short hike.
