Much more than expected
This is nice museum for a small city like Tornio. You can find the historic evolution of the nordic lifestyle in the museum.

A brilliant collection
The Museum was a great experience. They have managed to create a broad collection of the history of the Tornio valley. You will learn about Meän culture and the interesting phases of living on the boarder. At the same time the exhibition goes through the main points of the history of Finland. There are also English explanations and they offer guided English tours. You will get to see a lot of pictures, a few videos and many tools and other equipments from the different eras. The visit costs only 5 euros!
