Totally worth the visit!
We went to the Zoo during warmer winter days so we were lucky to spot almost all animals. The park is home to ice bear, artic fox, lynx, wolf, owls, Pallas cat, reindeer and many more. You can get to the Zoo by bus from Rovaniemi in less than a hour. There is also Fazer chocolate store in the entrance area. I would recommend you to go in less popular days of week. We went on Saturday and it was quite crowded.

Nice scenery
Wild life animals , Birds and spectacular views and scenery. Nice walk through the passages in the Zoo. Perfect for photos. Recommend for all the family. If visiting in winter important to have proper clothing as temperature may go really down.

Great day at the arctic zoo!
One hour from Rovaniemi on bus, you find this lovely zoo with polar bears, brown bears, wild boars, deer, reindeer, moose, arctic foxes, eagles, all kinds of owls, wolves, wolverines, lynx and dholes, among other animals. An amazing experience. No need to book a tour guide, just take a bus from Rovaniemi bus station and pay for your ticket at the ticket office (or book online). A few nice places around to have lunch or dinner too.
