don't miss at winter time
We wanted to visit there but most companies in Rovaniemi don't go there. Luckily we found a company named Tulipikina in the internet. The guide picked us from our hotel and took us and another couple to the canyon. The drive takes about an hour - hour and a half. There aren't many people there but it is beautiful. We walked with snow shoes to see the frozen waterfalls and climbed up the hill untill we were right in the bottom. After the walk the guide made for us a little picnic with hot drinks and some food. Great experience:)

Very cool walk along beautiful frozen waterfalls
Beautiful, 5-km walk through the forrest, crossing the river to pass three frozen waterfalls (in March at least they’re frozen). Awesome to see, the middle one we loved most due to the beautiful blue glow of the ice. Cool to see there were people climbing the waterfalls. In wintertime, the paths were ok to walk without snowshoes but some parts are quite steep up or down, so one needs to be careful. Take at least 3 hours to do the round-trip. It was a very quiet walk, we only came accross a few people and one excursion-group (who only walked one part of the route and back, but they missed some splendid views). We walked clockwise which seems to be the smart direction. Just a pity the final little bit is uphill :)
