don't miss on your way
bit outside of Kilpisjarvi at village entrance coming from Muonio at reight side with huge parking area. Lot of information about wildlife, culture of inhabitants and landscape - we even could watch wild fox passing around... take time in this stressless region.

Simple but worthwhile stop while in Kilpisjarvi
You probably wont spend more then 10-30 minutes here but its a nice stop that gives you a decent overview of the area. There is a small area with information about the geology/nature/plant life of the area as well as a small giftshop and some maps of the area. There is also a mini library were you can read more in depth about the area. Probably not that interesting for children although they had a small kids area where they could color.
