Worth a visit

We went in primarily to escape the rain, and actually the museum was really interesting - lots of information about the local tribes with boards in English, French and Vietnamese. Well worth a look before exploring the area to gain a better understanding of the tribes and their culture.

    Worth a visit
We were brought here by our guide on day 2. Since we had done some trekking to see villages of the Red Dao and Blue Hmong, we could appreciate more of the the information presented here. Nice gift shop located here too which show cases some decent craft.

    Small museum, just ok.
Hard to find, right at the back of the tourist information complex up a flight or two of stone steps. A small collection of exhibits with displays with photos with captions, in Vietnamese, French and English although the English translation is incomplete in some cases. Some of the old maps are poorly reproduced and illegible. It's worth a look if the weather acts up and it's free.
