Intimate, comfortable theater for Silvia Perez Cruz concert...
I saw Sylvia Perez Cruz at the Teatro Breton on Sept 30th, 2017 This is not a review about her, but she is a wonderful singer who can sing with soft articulation and also belt out the emotion... a great test for a theater of this size. And it was wonderful, along with the stringed musical instrument, just a good match. I would suspect she could have filled the space with her voice 100 years ago when there were no electronics, an intimate space with good sound despite that I was on the second row end seat on the left. (I pretty much watched her in profile) The seats were comfortable and large enough for my 6' 2" 210 # frame, I didn't have to sit with my arms folded the whole time (which happens a lot in Broadway NYC) I'm reading that the theater was refurbished in 1990 but the place appeared clean and relatively bright, just a very nice, intimate concert space. Now, I only got there because I drove from Madrid to see Ms Cruz, there's not something every night so it might be problematic to visit Logrono and get lucky enough that there's a show on. (you'll note that most of the other posters are from Logrono) so it would be hard to make this a destination, but if you're ever in Logrono or in the Rioja region check the schedule and it might be worth the trip.
