Ayuntamiento Santo Domingo De La Calzada, La Rioja, Spain

Nice square
Santo Domingo De La Calzada is a nice little town. Some nice squares and buildings too see. And also an important stop for catholic pilgrims. But it's not a town to spend days in. Half a day is pretty much enough to see the important stuff for the regular traveller. And this nice square is one of the top sights in town. A restaurant or two, the city walls and nice lined up trees. The two major buildings here are the impressive Town hall and the equally impressive Cathedral of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. This square is a good start for exploring the town. Sometimes there are also some festivals and plays taking place here.

Attractive town square
Santo Domingo is really small and if you're staying there then you will easily find the attractive old main plaza and the typical cloistered ayuntamiento.

Pleasant square on a nice day
Quiet square with bars and cafes around in the old town. Wander for a while and soak up the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
