note- there are two different places with mineral water
I have been in both of them. Both of them are privately owned and located actually inside the owners’ house fence in Arzakan. Places are very simple – don’t expect any special infrastructure or luxury. Those are pools with mineral (sulfur) water. First is located not far from war monument – go down for a 200-300 meters with bad road, need to ask locals if you don’t now the place. Here there are two pools – one pretty large (20-30 squared meters) which can hold 10-15 people and other very small – hardly holding 2-3 people. I’d strongly advise larger one as prices (surprisingly) are the same. It costs here 7000 AMD per hour. You can take for a shorter time for a smaller price but need to tell that in advance. Second one is located a bit further in the village. Not sure how many pools they have – I think two. One which I used to take was a bit smaller than other above described but still large to hold a group. One hour here costs 5000 AMD (cheaper), and here it is a bit more clean and accurate than in first place. Note however that here there is a “face control” – they are very cautious WRT customer – specifically, if you’re a (probably not too old) couple – they might not allow you inside without children. I think some incidents happened before so they are cautious, since it is near their house so try to behave correctly. Overall I’d advise a second place as more accurate and cheaper, but if you’re young couple – consider “face-control”, take along with you someone’s kid)))))))). Recently I noticed another place (further along the road to the hotel complexes) a sign about new pool, not sure when they will start functioning. One more note - avoid wearing new and expensive swimwear - sulfur water may damage it. use something simple.
