Beautiful architecture
Visited on a Wednesday in December, this seems to be a very popular time for school visits. It was lovely to see all the people enjoying the Palace and to be able to interact with them. I must admit that I paid little attention to the guide preferring instead to marvel at the architecture, the intricate work in the carvings and the beautiful paintings. Sorry to all the history buffs out there, but dates and names just aren't my thing You have to take your shoes off to enter the Palace

Mysuru Palace Light and Sound Show.
The light and sound show in English language will start between 7:00 to 7:45 PM on Thursday to Saturday.For Monday to wednesday the show will be in Kannada language at the same timings. No light and sound show on Sundays but Palace lights will be turned on from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM. Tickets for the light and sound show is issued from Varaha Gate counter(South side) from 6:30 PM. Lots of parking space is available at this gate. The ticket cost was Rs 120/adult and 50/kid for the English language show, only cash will be accepted at ticket counter keep sufficient change with you and be in queue by 6:00 PM to avoid waiting in long queue. After buying tickets take entry from through Varaha gate walk staright turn right, then left where lot of chairs are available facing to front side of Palace. Get seated where ever you like. Show starts exactly at 7:00 PM. The show started promising with minimum lights and sound displayed over palace, 400 years history of Mysuru is played during the show. 7:45 PM the show ends and full Palace lights will be turned on for 05-10 Min. Its worth the wait enjoy the magestic palace in full illumination. Ensure to capture some awesome pics with the magestic illuminated palace in the background.
