Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Karnataka, India

4.0 (6.188 reviews) Thursday: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #22 in Karnataka Gardens

Greenery all around

Went back to Lalbagh after ages and it was such a pleasant experience. Of-course the nice monsoon weather in Bangalore made the experience more nice. Adule ticket for Rs 30, children for Rs 10 and a parking ticket of Rs 50 at the gate and you are set. There is a battery vehicle available similar to how we have in zoo's or national parks to take folks around but I and my 8 year old decided to walk and just soak in the nature. Beautiful garden - lots of interesting things to explore. Take a snap of the map at the entrance on your phone and just follow the path to every corner. With so much greenery, never seen before trees, birds chirping, squirrels running helter/skelter and the beautiful lake and lotus pond. It was a well spent 2 to 3 hours here.

    Wasn't good time to visit.
This place was green, serene and calm as it was a botanical park, but the problem was with the infrastructure. We had to wait long for their electric vehicle which charges 100/person for the inside tour, as personal cars are not allowed. Water was not available inside and you are not allowed to carry your bottle because plastic is banned there. So better advised to carry a steel bottle with you. When asked the guard, he said August is the best time to visit this place as they decorate it for 15th Aug. So 13-15th Aug is the best time to visit if you are a tourist not student.
