Fascinating and Worth A Visit

We stumbled upon this visitors centre when we were visiting Kuhmo in Finland. It is great! It showcased the 'big 4' of the top predators in Finland (and Scandinavia) - brown bears, lynx, wolverine and wolves. There are video presentations in Finish and English as well as a exhibition with each of the animals above plus other Finish wildlife. There is also an information area with books and magazines, some in English. There's a great gift shop, a cafe and the staff are very helpful. If you want to learn a lot about these wonderful animals it is really worth a visit.

Useful fact, documentaries - Petola is also suitable for children
If you are in Kuhmo and interested in Finnish great beasts, you should visit Petola, where you will get good information about bears, wolves, wolverines and lynxes. The nature documentary films were good and illustrative. There is no entrance fee to Petola. Friendly service.
