Qargha lake is a must visit during your stay at Kabul. Specially the resturant Supagmay near the lake is a very peaceful and great place with nice tea and Shisha option. View of the lake at the evening is a treat.

    Beautiful View, Terrible Food
    Qargha lake was breathtaking, it's a nice little getaway and glimpse of paradise in Kabul. A great place for tea, nice, relaxing and beautiful scenery. On the other hand, don't go to Spoghmai restaurant. The food was overpriced and terrible, and the shir-yakh was a rip off of 1000 AFS, it was the worst ice cream in Kabul. The kabob was overcooked and under-seasoned. To top it off, the service was less than pleasant. Also, it's not very family friendly after sunset. Oh, and if you pay in USD they will rip you off, so make sure you pay in AFS.
