Sweet Lunch Experience!
I follow this local shop on Facebook and had seen they offer gluten free options. A friend and I went for lunch today and chose the lunchbox special which includes a sandwich, chips, and a cookie. Of course I ordered a gluten free sandwich (The Big Al), and it was so good and fresh. I chose a keto/gf chocolate chip cookie which I ate later and enjoyed. The place is clean and so quaint being in historic Jonesborough, the staff working was very friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty, so what's not to love? And want to visit again!? They have so many yummy "sweets" from cakes to cookies to bars and truffles as well as an assortment of teas and coffee. There are tables inside or if the weather is nice (like it was today) then you can take advantage of the tables outside!

Amazing treats & great tea party lunch!
My friends and family love Downtown Sweet! They make the best brownies, ice cream sandwiches, chess bars, cookies, nazooks, truffles, scones and HAM STACKS!!! Great tea too! Book a lunch party and hire them for your next event- super yum! Lovely upstairs tea room also- great view of Jonesborough!

Best Lunch, Dessert or Treats in Downtown Jonesborough!
I love this shop! I started at their old location where they had the upstairs tea room, but now they still offer tea parties after closing hours. I saw adorable pics of a friend for her daughter's birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. And these aren't "store bought" kind of pastries and candies. These are vintage, authentic recipes she's found and developed. Now, there's a combined business with Manna Sandwich Shop in the same location, so this is the BEST place to lunch in Historic Jonesborough ! She offers gluten free/keto dessert selections, and he makes all his specialty sandwiches with gluten free bread (white AND multi-grain) if you request it. They also do catering, and special orders. I once ordered their GF red velvet cupcakes - Yum! If you are ever shopping around this quaint little town, make SURE you try Downtown Sweet and Manna Sandwich Shop for lunch and/or dessert - complete with one of her awesome teas. Really, really good!
