Pretty but lacking amenities
This could be a fantastic park, and it is really pretty and well cared for. Paved roads for walks, lots of grassy area, benches, picnic tables and BBQ's. Two covered areas suitable for parties and picnics; one with water and a pit BBQ. Pretty setting on the Pedernales River. Downside; 2 pit toilets, no drinking fountains and no garbage cans (not really a problem for most but just giving out info here). Definitely worth checking out. Big plus, it's free!

Not a lot to do
Small park open 6:30 to 6:30. Not many amenities but can be near river. Doesn’t appear they want you to swim, use metal detectors or shoot off fireworks. Some of the no no signs we encountered.
