Tianqiao Bridge of Lushan, Jiangxi, China
4.5 (39 reviews) Spent Ranking #8 in Jiujiang Bridges
Doesn't even look like a bridge
Would seriously recommend giving this walk a miss as this is the main tourist route. There are much better places to hike with no domestic tourists as most will tend to take the bus! The walk down to the suspension bridge is very peaceful and the five old man peaks (wu Lao 五老) makes for an amazing trek

Visual illusion
Atfer visiting Huajing Park (花径), I crossed the road to start hiking the Jinxiu Valley (锦绣谷). The first landmark is this Tianqiao. Actually, it is not a bridge at all. At this lower side, there is this flat rock protruding towards the left. On the far side are cliff rocks protruding towards the right, thus forming a bridge. Hence many local tourists were queuing just to take a photo of this visual illusion. I didn’t bother to queue, but still need patience to take a shot without anyone.

Average view
The bridge can bee seen from the road and to get up close you follow a trail. The view is ok, but if you follow the trail around the corner, the view improves drastically. That area is the highlight of the entire park.
