What you see is what you get...
There is a 10 RMB ticket price to see the Prison house and the torture room. Some may say that it is too much to pay for what it is. But, I see it as helping maintain the site and helping the locals out. So, no big deal. It is not overly impressive. There are better examples throughout China of this type of site. But, still, it is good for a few hours. One thing I found, that was not detailed at the site, there was a movie made about the Shangrao Concentration Camp (the title of the movie), made in 1951. I suspect that the "artifacts" are left over movie props. But, they might be real things, used in the movie. It is hard to say. There is very little English translation. Especially in the museum. And, the museum is not very good to detail the history and the story of the site. It is more about portrait pictures of the people who were there.
