Worth the hike! Go on a Rainy Day to get amazing photos!

My legs were not prepared for this hike! Even worse, the day was rainy and windy. I hiked in a raincoat all the way to the top of San-Die (3 Step) Waterfall in Lushan. It was worth it! The waterfall was huge because of the rain. The scenery was amazing! Misty clouds made the experience magical!

    Train up before your visit
You need to be fit, plenty of legs, stamina and determination to reach the destination. We took the shortest route to go to the Lushan Waterfalls, by battling the long and steep flight of stairs starting from the top at the cable car station. Recommended to buy 2-way tickets for cable car (about ¥80), and trust me, you will glad that you bought this ticket towards the end. Challenge yourself to a total of 2600 steps to and fro. Take a cable car to the top. Make your way down to starting point of Lushan Waterfalls entrance and pay a ¥2 fee. Continue to walk down about 1300 steps and you will reach the waterfalls. Great views along the way and at the attraction as well. People said you have to visit this place to consider yourself a Lushan visitor. Make sure you take your time at the waterfalls as you will need to recharge to go back up another 1300 steps before taking cable car back to foot. Overall worth the descend/climb as you are treated to nice scenery. Not recommended for children and old people due to safety and fitness.

Don't take a taxi from the train station
I know not to take a cab, I am an idiot. When you come out of the train station, there will be cabbies there, "I'll take you to Lushan." They will take you to the near entrance which doesn't sell tickets, then harass you for 350¥ each person to go into the park. The real entrance is 20km away from where the cabbie will bring you. The city bus back to the train station is 2¥ each. Didn't get to go see the park, just a warning about (I know better) taking a taxi.
