Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge, Jiangxi, China

This is why I came to Jiujiang
I first crossed this bridge on a train on the way to Qingdao this past Spring Festival. I decided then that I wanted to see this area someday and not just by crossing the bridge on a train. There's a self-guided walking tour that starts at one of the riverside towers and that's where I started. After doing the tower, which was great for river photos, I continued toward the brdge, mostly along the river. There's a nice greenway on the route as well and this, too, is great for pictures. You have to go through parts of the greenway where walking along the river is interrupted. The day I did the walking tour was a bright, sunny day, and I was able to get some nice shots of some of the river traffic. Once I got to the bridge, I could see some work was being done on it, including a paint job under the upper deck. If you only get to see one thing in Jiujiang, and Lushan Mountain doesn't interest you, this is the thing to see in Jiujiang.
